PROGRAM AND LOCATION: VOA-NCNN, a Certified Great Place to Work, is recruiting for a full-time Job Developer for our Subsidized Employment Program located in Mather, California. Full-time employees (working 30 or more hours a week) are eligible for a benefits package that includes paid holidays, vacation, sick pay, health, dental, vision, life, and short-term disability insurance coverage.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Job Developer’s primary responsibility is to engage with local employers to develop and maintain ongoing mutually beneficial relationships that promote the hiring of SEP participants, while meeting the business needs of the employer.
OBJECTIVES/ACTIVITIES:
A. Responsible for client placement to achieve established objectives of the department.
B. Responsible for self-development.
C. Create, Develop and Implement Strategic Partnership with Business Community and Small business affiliates.
EQUIVALENT EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma/GED required, and associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. The applicant will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with businesses as it relates to recruiting for employment and/or performing related marketing, plus a minimum of 2 years working with disadvantaged populations. The position requires strong working knowledge of employment referral sources and ability to establish relationships/new resources for employment. CPR and First Aid certification are required as well as a clear T.B. test annually. Valid California driver's license and ability to meet the organization’s insurance carrier guidelines are required. Must have the flexibility to work irregular hours. Must have the willingness to function as a team member with the ability to make skillful independent decisions.
